On Sunday, April 27th, OC Transpo is launching "New Ways to Bus," a redesigned bus network to improve reliability across the city. This means many routes will be replaced, changed, or newly introduced.
What does this mean for students? On Monday, April 28th, your commute could be different! Be prepared for potential changes to your usual routes.
• Increased transfers: OC Transpo is minimizing duplication along LRT lines, which might mean more transfers for your trip.
• Longer trip times: More transfers could lead to longer travel times.
• Route changes: New route numbers and paths might cause some confusion, especially in the first few weeks. How to prepare:
• Important: Double-check your trip before Monday, April 28!
• Use the OC Transpo "New Ways to Bus" travel planner: Set your "arrival time" to your school's morning bell and "departure time" to the final bell.
• Visit the "New Ways to Bus" webpage for more details.
• Attend a public information session hosted by OC Transpo. Visit their website for details.

As is the case with most schools, there is a significant amount of traffic in the area surrounding the buiiding at the beginning and end of the day. A reminder that the designated drop-off area is found at the east end of the parking lot. The parking area directly in front of the school is designated for special transportation pick-up and drop-off. The bus loop is reserved for yellow buses only.
Drop-offs or pick-ups in the no stopping zones found along Kanata Avenue can result in dangerous situations. We encourage all community members to adhere to the street signage posted. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
On November 28th, the Board of Trustees approved the New Fernbank High School Temporary Accommodation Plan that will take effect in September 2024.
